HRH The Prince of Wales met young leaders who attended the Mosaic International Summit 2011

Young leaders from Malaysia, Qatar, UAE as well as the UK had an opportunity to report back to HRH The Prince of Wales about how the Summit had helped them to develop their leadership skills and better equip them to support their local communities.
The Mosaic International Summit is a leadership development programme for emerging leaders from countries as diverse as Afghanistan to Indonesia. The Summit develops leadership skills, inspires positive thinking about global issues, and equips delegates from a wide range of backgrounds, including lawyers, journalists, and civil servants, to become involved in their local communities.
The 2011 Summit took place in Qatar (the previous two Summits have taken place in the UK), under the patronage of Her Excellency Sheikha Al-Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, who addressed delegates at the closing event. The Summit programme included leadership skills workshops, inspirational sessions on global issues such as poverty and sustainability, and visits to projects which demonstrate leadership in action.
During the meeting with HRH The Prince of Wales, which took place at his residence Clarence House in London on 7th February 2012, delegates reported their experiences of the Summit and what they intend to do as a result.
Ali Al Wadaani, an engineer from Qatar was one of the delegates and has started volunteering in a local school since attending the Summit, he said:
“Since the Summit, I have decided that I want to use my knowledge and experience to motivate school students and help make the curriculum make sense. I’m looking forward to my first session in school in March.”
