On 2nd June 2025, the Naz Legacy Foundation was proud to host our Eid Celebration Event at Norton Rose Fulbright!
We came together to mark Eid al-Adha with students from Alec Reed Academy, Azhar Academy, Eastbrook School, Lantern of Knowledge and Madani Girls School – celebrating the values of community, sharing and togetherness that lie at the heart of Eid.
The event began with inspiring keynote remarks from Imran Sanaullah MBE, CEO of the Avicenna Foundation and Farmida Bi, Chair of Europe, Middle East and Asia at Norton Rose Fulbright.
Guests were then treated to two beautiful nasheeds performed by Farhana Ali.
We also heard reflections from young people involved in our Diversity Programme, sharing what Eid means to them and how the programme has impacted their lives.
A creative workshop led by Nusaybah Mannan from Crescent Calligraphy gave students the chance to explore the art of Arabic calligraphy, designing bookmarks and Eid cards with their names, stamps and decorations.
After a traditional lunch and time to connect, we closed the celebration with remarks from Tashmina Hoque, Director of The COSARAF Charitable Foundation, and Bushra Nasir CBE DL, Chair of the Naz Legacy Foundation. Our Director, Saeresh Iqbal wrapped up the day with thanks and warm Eid wishes to all.
