After months of preparation, the big day finally arrived. Our first in-person event since the Covid19 pandemic struck. And what a place to host the event, one of Britain’s most historical venues, the Tower of London.
The aim of the event was to celebrate the contribution of Faith Communities in the pandemic. We were joined by young people, Covid Heroes and community leaders from across London.
During the course of the evening we heard from, Secretary of State for the Department of Health and Social Care, Rt Hon Sajid Javid MP, His Eminence Cardinal Vincent Nichols, The Chief Rabbi, Imam Mohamed Mahmoud OBE, Andrew Jackson- Director, Tower of London and our Director, Sajidah Patel.
The evening was concluded by our traditional selfie, swiftly followed by networking whereby guests had the opportunity to meet after long periods of isolation.
Overall, the event passed as a big success with guests making their pleasure known. We look forward to returning to the Tower in 2022 for our Diversity Day.
