The Naz Legacy Foundation’s first anniversary reception was celebrated in 2013 at City Hall with the Mayor of London, Boris Johnson. The event brought together over 175 leading educationalists, philanthropists and politicians to celebrate the legacy of Naz Bokhari, the first Muslim headteacher in the UK.
Guest speakers included Boris Johnson (Mayor of London), Rt Hon Sadiq Khan MP (Shadow Justice Secretary) and HRH Princess Badiya bint El Hassan of Jordan – the latter of whom who was awarded the inaugural Naz Legacy Foundation Honorary Education Award.
