HRH The Prince of Wales Hosts a Reception for Mosaic

On 11th September, the third day into Mosaic’s International Leadership Programme, HRH, The Prince of Wales hosted a reception at his London residence, Clarence House, for the 80 young leaders from 16 nations across the World who are taking part in Mosaic’s International Leadership Programme 2013. There were 150 attendees including the international delegates participating in the Programme, key supporters of the Programme and supporters of Mosaic.
The Prince, our founder, was joined at the reception by The President of Qatar Foundation, Dr Mohammad Fathy Saoud, who spoke passionately about the Foundation’s support of the Programe, and Founder Chairman of Mosaic Her Royal Highness Princess Badiya bint El Hassan of Jordan. The Qatar Foundation generously supports the Mosaic International Leadership Programme as well as its Primary School Mentoring Programme.
At the event The Prince of Wales acknowledged the importance of Qatar Foundation’s support of The Prince’s Charities. The Prince also spoke about how much he values the International Leadership Programme and the importance of leadership with responsibility to deliver positive impacts upon local communities.
The Prince also recognised the generous support provided by the supporters of the International Leadership Programme, includingPrudential Corporation Asia, Qatar Foundation, Credit Suisse EMEA Foundation, Etihad Airways, Qatar Shell, Crescent Petroleum, Al Maktoum College of Higher Education and Pearn Kandola.
Mosaic’s National Director, Jonathan Freeman commented: “What makes our International Leadership Programme so powerful, is its ability to inspire such remarkable achievements from the delegates when they return to their home countries. We are so honoured that our founder, His Royal Highness, The Prince of Wales, has shown his support of the Summit’s return to the UK after two years overseas, by hosting this fabulous reception for our delegates in his home. The Prince’s leadership is an inspiration to all of us in Mosaic and the delegates greatly valued this incredible opportunity to hear direct from His Royal Highness.”
Some of the delegates from the Programme shared their thoughts about the evening with us. Farah Al-Maadeed, a delegate from Qatar commented: “Great evening at Clarence House with the Prince of Wales and delegates from all over the world.”
Jordanian delegate Saed said of the evening: “It was an honour not only to see The Prince, but also to to know that he is such a humble and wonderful character. Thank you Mosaic for this chance.”
Zul, a delegate from Malaysia remarked: “HRH The Prince of Wales’ support and generosity toward Mosaic International Leadership Programme really touch my heart. Having a chance to meet him for second time is a surreal experience for me. He is truly a charismatic leader and amazing person.”
Other guests at the event included: HRH The Duke of York and Aki Hussain, Chief Financial Officer, UK & Europe, Prudential Plc and Ambassadors of many of the countries of the delegates on the Programme.
