Sajidah Patel- Director of Operations

Sajidah joined the Naz Legacy Foundation as Director of Operations in 2018. Sajidah holds an MSc from SOAS in Middle East Politics. She has previously worked for a Member of Parliament and founded a youth council on tackling Domestic Violence with Baroness Scotland. Sajidah is passionate about social justice and improving the rights of women around the world. 

Cara Priestley- Programme’s Coordinator

Cara joined the Naz Legacy Foundation as Programmes Coordinator in 2020. She has worked both in the UK and internationally in campaigns, policy, research and coordination roles in the areas of civilian protection, human rights, peacebuilding and disarmament. Most recently, she has worked at the UK Mission to the UN and with the Quaker United Nations Office in Geneva. She has an MA in Human Rights, and a BA in History with Middle East Studies.

The Executive Team

The voluntary executive team, made up of young people who have been an integral part of the Foundation’s development since 2012, play a leading role in the Foundation’s operations and delivery of programmes, whilst also providing insight into the needs and requirements of our beneficiaries.
